About the Artist

Preeti’s relationship with art stretches back to her very early years. She filled pages and pages with drawings and paintings in a unique style that she developed all by herself at a very young age. She trained at playing the Tabla at the age of 11. She is currently learning to play the guitar and gaining a formal understanding of the piano.
Occasionally, she also weaves a tapestry with words to tell uniquely personal and heartfelt stories.

Her love for art-forms extends across genres and mediums.

What truly moves Preeti as an artist is the beauty that she finds in nature. Her love for nature often shows up in her choice of subject for her paintings and prose alike. She constantly strives to project the awe and wonder she has for nature onto her art.

She focuses on improving her technique and eye for details. Currently, her focus is on capturing light and movement in her paintings.

Preeti aspires to continually create art that moves her and others. She looks to artists more knowledgeable and experienced than her to improve herself and expand her skill-set. Her current focus is on the use of watercolours on paper. She has aspirations in oil-on-canvas and acrylics on canvas.

When she isn’t immersed in her various art projects and music lessons, she cooks, learns French and other languages, and reads copiously.

One day she hopes to build a doll house with found objects, learn to use a glassblower, own her kiln, and possess an electric guitar.
